If you're in the mood for an elegant and romantic getaway in historic Warwick, New York, now may be just the time. This weekend we have a number of artistic events scheduled as part of the annual Warwick SpringFest. And in the coming weeks there are special concerts, exhibitions, and a spectacular array of culinary delights that are as much a feast for the eyes as they are for your taste buds!
We're even planning a very special event for a few months from now: a Mystery Weekend that promises intrigue in an atmosphere of the bygone era of the American Civil War. Take part in a fun and fascinating evening in which you will be taken back to 1864 and face the turmoil of life and war. Are you a secessionist or sympathizer?
PROGRAM SUMMARY
• Friday, arrive at the Historic Warwick B&B Inn of your choice, and receive your "character script."
• Saturday, FREE DAY. Enjoy Dinner at 6PM at the Iron Forge Inn, in an authentic 1760's tavern room. Return to the hosting Warwick B&B Inn, and mingle with other Civil War characters and face an "officer interrogation" portrayed by Civil War re-enactors. Will you be the sympathizer/spy? Will you be found out before the evening is through? Help solve the mystery and preserve the union.
GUEST INFORMATION AND COST
There is limited space available for this event, and we encourage guests to wear period clothing. Book your choice of lodging from one of the Historic Warwick B&B Inns.
Price per couple: $350, plus tax
Based on queen room with private bath;
two-nights, Sat. night dinner at Iron Forge, and Civil War Mystery program. Room upgrades available. Portion of proceeds to benefit historic preservation of National Civil War sites.
