| Broken Down Dogs, Warwick NY, is an all-volunteer effort active in animal rescue and adoption. They work closely with outside organizations in rescue operations, often arranging treatment and medical care from local veterinarians, Later they team up with local humane societies in order to properly integrate the treated animals into the community. | Recently, Broken Down Dogs rescued six German Shepherd mix puppies, only 12 weeks old , whose mom had survived hurricane Katrina. The team drove a very long way to Alexandria, Louisiana (their second trip to the area since October, 2005). We are happy to report that all six were treated upon arrival in Warwick, and later adopted, through the continued good work and digilence of the Warwick Valley Human Society. |
