A Day of Celebration of Children's Literature and Reading
On September 11, 2005, from 10AM-4PM, dozens of well-known and respected authors and illustrators will gather in Stanley Deming Park, in the heart of the Historic Village of Warwick, NY, to display, sell, discuss, an autogrph their published children's books. Some of the authors and illustrators will be invited to give presentations or workshops. Budding artists can get "tips" of the trade" from a wonderful illustrator. New, emerging writers can receive advice from a published, seasoned author. Parents can view the excitement on the faces of kids meeting a favorite author for the first time!
There is NO FEE to attend this event, but a portion of the proceeds from the sale of books and other related educational items will be used to benefit the Albert Wisner Public Library. The library is in the heart of the village, centrally located to many fine shops, cafés, and restaurants. |
