HALCYON DAYS : The historic homes of Warwick and the families that breathed life into them. This is a magnificent book - if you haven't seen it, come into the Tavern and take a look. The cost is $100 and well worth it! 234 pages of paintings, photos, text about families. -12 x15 in color and hard bound with a dust jacket. Call the office to reserve yours.(845 986-3236) It usually takes a month to order but we will have some on hand so you will be able to give that someone special this extraordinary book for Christmas. The Gift Shop will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 - 2, Sunday 2 - 4. It has wonderful items - from our ornaments of the buildings, the Warwick throw, and tote bag - to used collectibles and antiques. PLUS Historical Society books.

Vernon Historical Society to sponsor holiday house tour. Vernon's The Vernon Township Historical Society is sponsoring a holiday house tour on Dec. 13, featuring a holiday reception at the Vernon Senior Citizens center, followed by a tour of four homes decorated for the holidays. This year's house tour also features the historic Drew farmhouse on Drew Road. Three of the four homes featured this year have not been on the Society's prior holiday house tours. Tickets will be sold starting at noon on Dec. 13 at the Senior Citizens Center on Church Street, where there will also be holiday music, refreshments, and photographic exhibits of historic homes in the township. Tickets are at the reduced rate of $20 per person this year. For senior citizens or for groups of 10 or more, tickets are $15 each. The holiday house tour is from 1 to 6 p.m. After purchasing tickets, participants may go to the four homes at their own leisure, starting at the home of their choice. Refreshments are served and each home will be decorated inside and out. The Vernon Township Historical Society is a non-profit group.
