Monthly meetings are held in the EAA hangar at Warwick Municipal Airport, 41 Airport Road, Warwick, NY.  Everyone interested in aviation is invited, especially those interested in home-built airplanes.  For additional information, call Bill at 845-544-1796.
Jan 12 | Les Yeux Artist Exhibit | 5-7PM
"Les Yeux," a non-profit exhibit & reception of artist Emily Anne's surreal and abstract art will take place on January 12th from 5-7pm at the Seligmann Center for the Arts located at 23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf, NY 10981. Hors d'oeuvres & Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!
Jan 15 | The Warwick Valley Chorale will begin rehearsals for its Spring season | 7:00PM
Mon Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave., Warwick, NY. Registration begins at 7:00 PM on January 15th, January 22nd, and January 29th. Rehearsals will follow registration at 7:30 PM. The Chorale is actively seeking new members. No auditions are required.
The Chorale is preparing for an exciting Spring season! Under the direction of Stanley Curtis, along with accompanist Gail Johnson, we will be preparing to perform a first half consisting of pieces and selections of Handel’s “Utrecht Te Deum”; “And I Will Exalt Him”; Mozart’s “Missa Brevis”; “Dixit Dominus”; “Ave Verum” with a second half consisting of “100 Years of Broadway”. We would also like to mention that the end of March we have members that will be participating with our associate, MidAmerica Productions, performing Mozart’s “Requiem” in Vienna, Austria.
The Chorale will present several local area concerts in May 2013. The program and venues for our local area concerts will be announced at a later date. Please visit the Warwick Valley Chorale website for further details as they become available.

Author Charles Larocca will discuss his new book, The 124th New York State Volunteers in the Civil War, detailing the journey of the local unit, which saw action in many of the major battles of the War such as Gettysburg and Chancellorsville. Enriched with much newly-uncovered primary source material -- such as letters written by eyewitnesses, including Captain James Benedict of Warwick -- the book presents a richly-detailed and poignant view of the experience of the war.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

The tango is a dramatic and romantic dance with its roots in European and African cultures. It originated in South America and has since become popular in a form called ballroom tango. Quite a number of recent movies have included tango dance scenes, so here's your chance to dance like the stars.
