Mar | The 2012 Annual Lenten Luncheons | Noon-1PM
Featuring Speaker: Rev. Ken Susskraut, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church: “Prayer and Fasting”. Sponsored by the Warwick Valley Ecumenical Council. First in a series of five devotional luncheons every Wednesday noon from March 16th through April 13th. The events will take place in the fellowship hall of the Warwick United Methodist Church on Forester Avenue. Tickets are $7 per person at the door [menu Baked Ziti]. Each week the attendees will sing together, share a hot lunch and hear a message from a local clergy person. The speakers will give a message out of their own faith tradition about the devotional theme "Disciplines of the Cross". The Ecumenical Council welcomes everyone from our area and surrounding communities to these luncheons. For more information, call 986-1030. |

Mar | Used Clothing Drive | Noon
St. Stephen's Parish in Warwick will be holding a used clothing drive, Mar 20-22 in the parish school gymnasium. The items collected will be sent to third world countries. The items accepted include: usable and wearable clothing for all seasons (men's, ladies', children's), pocketbooks, backpacks, briefcases, belts, hats, gloves, baby accessories scarves ties, blankets, bed sheets, bedspreads, pillows, quilts, comforters, kitchen and bath accessories made of fabric, table cloths, drapery, curtains, towels, bath rugs, stuffed animals, beanie babies, cars, trucks, airplanes, action figures, dolls and doll houses. Hard toys should fit in a 24"x24"x21" box. Donations must be placed in well tied garbage bags. Note: Please bag shoes separately from clothing.
