Warwick resident Lisa Ciriello and her husband Tom are planning to raise a family. But Ciriello will not have a problem being a stay-at-home mom. The Ciriellos recently started their own home business, Lisa’s Cookie Shop.
Lisa’s Cookie Shop is a licensed home processing business that offers all natural, gourmet style, cookies, brownies, fruit & nut bars and tartlets. Its products are currently available in Warwick at Pennings Farm Market & Orchard and at the Bellvale Creamery. "We also take orders by phone, fax, or e-mail and we offer gift baskets, platters and corporate gifts," said Lisa. "And some of the services we have available include shipping. And for our local customers, we provide home delivery with the Warwick area."
Lisa said that the business has grown because of the positive response from her local customers and the support and encouragement of other small businesses in town.
"I had always dreamed of starting a baking business of my own," said Lisa. "But it wasn’t until we moved to Warwick and witnesses the sense of loyalty and support that residents had to the small business community that I as inspired to go for it. Now I have a business I’m proud of and a solid sense of community and belonging."
