Biography
Using handmade papers collected from all over the world, artist / illustrator Patrick Gannon's cut and torn paper collages create stories and images with color, texture and depth.
Patrick draws his inspiration from his childhood growing up on a farm in the Warwick area, old cartoons, pop culture, and his years living in Japan. As an illustrator, his work has accompanied articles and stories in magazines, newspapers and books for adults and children, and has been included in the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles 41 and 43 annuals. For his award-winning art for Applefest 2004 he used paper from Thailand fabricated from the bark of banana trees.
