Parish Registration
All new parishioners should register to help us serve you more efficiently, especially in matters such as testimonials letters, sponsorship in the sacraments, and school enrollment.

Please download and complete the three pages in the attached Census Form (PDF document) and return it to the parish office so that we can complete your registration.

When you visit our office with your complete registation materials, we will also provide you with some temporary Offertory envelopes (see attached sample) on which your Parish ID number has been printed. Please use them until you begin receiving your monthly shipments from the envelope service; otherwise, you can opt to enroll in the ParishPay® program, an automated, secure on-line payment and tracking program. ParishPay lets you make adjustments to your payment at any time and print out receipts for tax purposes.

On behalf of the St. Stephen Parish Community, I would like to welcome you and your family to St. Stephen's Parish.

Our parish was founded in 1865 to serve the needs of the people in the greater Warwick area. We are under the patronage of St. Stephen, the church's first martyr, who died courageously proclaiming his faith in Jesus Christ. Since 1865, we have tried to serve the faith needs of an ever-growing Catholic Community in the Warwick Valley. The past several years have been years of tremendous growth, so you are not alone in being a "new" member of our parish community.

As a parish, we are committed to the belief that we were created for a specific purpose: to come to know and love God. It is when we accept and embrace this purpose that we most enhance our own lives, the lives of our families and the lives of all that we come in contact with. The Second Vatican Council gave us five ways of attaining this goal: Prayer, Sacraments, growing in Knowledge of Faith, Good Works and Sacrifice.

The various programs/organizations outlined in this pamphlet are all ways of achieving our ultimate goal of union with God. They are divided into Sacramental/Liturgical, Educational, Prayer, Good Works and Sacrifice. We also have an additional section on Youth. We are committed not only to teaching our young people our faith, but also to providing programming that will help them grow in faith and make them active members of a faith community.

While there are many programs outlined in the following pages, we know that there are always ways we can continue to improve. If you have any suggestions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. Again, welcome to St. Stephen's, and I hope you will feel at home here. May the Lord bless you and your family as you bless our Parish with your presence.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Rev. Michael P. McLoughlin, Pastor
