FAMILY REC CLASSES/EVENTS - 2009
Grade level family class sessions are required. Each family must attend the grade level class as scheduled for your child’s grade - plus attend at least four events listed below. Keep attendance on your Family REC log and turn in to the Religious Education Office when it is completed. If more than one child is in the REC program, you may choose to attend one or all family grade level sessions, and then add events to equal five total sessions. (ie: attend grade 3 & 6 family grade level sessions +3 other events)

Oct 19: GRADE 3 FAMILY CLASS October 19, 9AM Mass followed by class in the school. REC log will be signed at the end of the session.

Nov 9: GRADE 4 FAMILY CLASS, 9AM Mass followed by class in the school. REC log will be signed at the end of the session. Call Lydia by Friday 2pm if you or your child would like to do a reading or bring up the gifts at Mass

November 16-20 - Parish Mission 7:30 each evening in the church. The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will present on topics of faith each night.

November 23- Apple Pie Making - Come bake apple pies for the needy families in our county while enjoying family time with your own children. Bring a bag of apples, your own knife, bowl and peeler and we’ll provide the shell and everything needed to bake delicious apple pies. Cash donations gladly accepted for the baking supplies. See you in the gym!(time TBA) For this event you must call 986-2231 to register, limited space Holy Hour – Friday Nights, 8-9pm in church

Nov 30: Fresh Advent Wreath making – November 30 after 9 & 10:30 Masses in the school cafeteria - Pre-registration is required, $15 call 986-2231 and register for either time
First Friday All Night Eucharistic Adoration – come with your family for one hour of quiet time before our Lord, exposed in the Blessed Sacrament. 8PM – 8AM first Friday of every month; See sign up in atrium to become a regular member of the Adoration Society.

Adopt a family for Thanksgiving & Christmas through the Ecumenical Council– Watch bulletin for sign up information

Lenten Stations of the Cross - Friday evenings in Lent
Soup Supper – Soup suppers are held on Saturday evenings in Lent after 5:00pm Mass. All are invited to attend and make a donation. Sign up (call 986-2231) to make a pot of soup or stew, bring bread or drinks to share with our parish while we raise funds for the poor of our world.
Ugly Quilts – Come as a family to make warm blankets for our homeless brothers in the streets of NYC - watch for details
Midnight Run - collect clothing and make bag lunches for the homeless-watch for details.
